FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We would like to arrange a ceremony to renew our marriage vows. What do we do?
When you have decided on a date and location for your ceremony, either phone, text or email us your name and how to contact you. One of our ceremony consultants will then arrange to meet you to talk through your plans and visions for your ceremony. With your personal story, background and personalities in mind, we will create your Bespoke ceremony script, guided by your wishes.
You will be free to edit or add to your ceremony script until you are delighted!
We will then attend your special day to deliver your Bespoke ceremony and present you with a copy of your script to keep.
Will my wedding ceremony be legal?
Many people have told us that what matters most to them is being surrounded by the people they love as they make their commitments to each other, so for many, they will view this as their ‘real wedding.’ However, for a marriage to be legal, you will currently, in this country, still have to complete the registration at your local register office. The registration costs £46 plus the fee to give notice and you can contact your local register office for more details.
Can we write our own vows?
Absolutely - this is the perfect way to ensure the words you say to each other are meaningful, unforgettable and say the things you really want to. We can guide you through the process if you would like us to help. Your vows could be amusing, loving, religious or a combination of anything that celebrates your uniqueness as a couple.
Can the ceremony take place anywhere, such as a garden, or a barn, or even a beach?
Absolutely! If your location is privately owned however, you will need to have the permission of the owner!
We would like family to take part in the ceremony in some way. How would we do this?
Ceremonies are all about shared experiences and inclusivity. Your celebrant will be able to provide you with ideas for readings and promises, music and poetry. We will assist you in being as creative or traditional as you wish.
Where are you based and are you willing to travel out of the area for our ceremony?
Yes, whilst we are based in and around Thanet, we can travel to wherever your ceremony is to be held. There will however be a small charge to cover expenses if it’s further afield.
